"You did, you did! You drank a charm to kill John Proctor's wife! You drank a charm to kill Goody Proctor!" pg.1244
I'm not sure what this is in-telling but it seems that it is a secret the girls are keeping from Parris and could be an explanation as to what happened with Abigail and the Proctors. Goody Proctor did not died but because of the affair, Abigail wants John all for herself and would do anything such as stirring up problems to get him.
From this I assume Abigail is very driven and sinister which is a bad combination for someone in her position.

Abigail is such a home wrecker[lol] she should leave John proctor alone besides she's crazy she might end killing John if he doesn't watch out.
I agree, she definitely killed John Proctor's wife so that she could now be with him
I think this is a good assessment of Abigail. It will be interesting to revisit this interpretation of her as we continue reading.
Just to clarify though (Rafal), as Naomi points out, Elizabeth Proctor was very ill after the birth of her third child, but she did not die. Her illness was the reason that Abigail came to work for the Proctors and maybe part of the reason why John had the affair.
